For those of you who prefer the taste of the whites, we've now added to the range with a mixed case of white wines from across France. We think its a great selection and it contains a cross section of wines from across the regions so that you can try different wines without having to buy 6 of each.
The selection contains wines from Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Rhone, Alsace and the Loire - all of them personally selected by the management after much sampling. We think that they provide a cross-section of flavours that will bring you running back for more.....just click on the name below if you want to find out more about any individual wine.
the burgundy
This is a fresh and clear organic white wine that has a fruity bouquet and has good clean taste on the palate. One of the classics of the Burgundy region. 100% Bourgogne Aligoté grapes.
the rhone
Normally only available to Trade buyers, this is a fantastic organic wine from the Rhone Valley. Pale golden with aromas and tastes of apricots, honey and gingerbread. Viognier and Bourboulenc grape blend.
the alsace
A lovely light, crisp, organic white wine made from the Sylvaner grape. It is delicate, with nice acidity and has lovely aromas and hints of white fruit. 100% Sylvaner grapes.
the bordeaux
This is a brilliant zingy wine with aromas of lilies and white peaches and can be drunk by itself or with food. A clean organic white from a lovely vineyard. Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and a touch of Muscadelle grapes.
the loire
A lovely organic Sauvignon Blanc from a small vineyard south of Tours. Pale yellow with gentle white fruit aromas and a lovely finish. 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
With intense aromas of grapefruit and lemon this wine is ample and structured in the mouth with a good acidic balance. Made from 100% Melon de Bourgogne grapes.
