The wines that we sell are all true expressions of the "terroir" for each of our partners.

Terroir is a great word that means the unique combination of soil, location and climate, and we like to think is helped by the way that our partners manage their wine - with love with enormous pride.

This means that each wine is unique to the producer; and you won't find wines that are manufactured to taste the same every year but ones that have different nuances which reflect the changes in rainfall and temperature at various times in the growing season. It also means that only a limited amount is available each year, so you will need to keep checking when we get new vintages, which we will add on a regular basis.

And we are guaranteed that the wines they produce are organic or biodynamic because they have all achieved certification from one of the certifying bodies in France (equivalent to the soil association in the UK). Once achieved, each vineyard is inspected on a regular basis to ensure that the standards are being maintained.

It is the skill of the winemaker to observe continually and ensure that the grapes are harvested at the optimum moment; then to oversee the production process and make the best wine that truly expresses their terroir. To read a bit about each of our partners just click on one of the links.
