Ferran Bordeaux AOC 2003
.gif) .gif) This wine has a wonderful cherry colour, has aromas of plums and red fruits. The initial taste is soft and gentle followed by a fresh taste of blackcurrants. It has a rich and refined finish.
This is a blend using 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot grapes. They undergo an initial maceration to extract the colours and aromas. The fermentation takes around 10 -12 days. Each variety is initially fermented separately and after about 4 months, once the wine is starting to develop some character, Alain decides what the blend should be. We recommend that this wine is opened at least 2 hours before drinking to free all the hidden aromas and tastes.
Best served at around 16/17 degrees C.
