Ferran Entre deux Mers 2005 Haut Benauge
This is a belter. The colour is pale straw, clear and bright. The aromas are lilies, white flowers and acacia. The taste is soft and harmonious with a long aromatic finish.
The grape pulp is left to macerate for just that bit longer to ensure maximum extraction of aromas and tastes from the grapeskins and tannins of the grape.
As you can see from the photo, the 2004 vintage won a Medaille d'Or d'Aquitaine.
It is made from a blend of 70% Sauvignan, 20% Semillon and 10% Muscadelle grapes. The juice is then stored 'sur lie' in wooden barrels for 5 months or so to develop it's character and capacity to age.
The wine can be drunk anytime up to 5-6 years from bottling.
