Domaine Weber wines
Run by Odile Weber, the estate covers some four and a half hectares in fourteen plots situated in the area around Eguisheim, near Colmar. The soil is a mixture of clay and chalk. This area is part of the Alsace particularly suited to the Reisling grape and the high proportion of chalk in the soil gives the wine its mineral and citrus quality. It's also part of the grand cru area for the Gerwurztraminer grape.
Domaine Weber wines are really well balaced with a great finish and can be kept for up to 10 years (if you can manage it!)
